The Columbus Blue Jackets were back in action last night against the Edmonton Oilers for the second time in less than a week.
The first game went to the Oilers, with former Blue Jackets forward Jack Roslovic scoring in overtime to win it. However, last night, the Blue Jackets came out on top 5-4. This is a huge win for a Columbus team that isn't where they want to be.
They find themselves near the bottom of the Eastern Conference. It definitely isn't where they wanted to be almost 20 games into the season. But, it's gutsy wins like one the last night against the Oilers, that can get them pointed in the right direction.
With that, that let's take a look at some of the quotes from the players and coaches from the game.
Columbus Blue Jackets:
Dean Evason: Head Coach
- Felt the team almost let the game go
- Proud of his team to come out with the win against a team with pretty special players
- Felt his team did a lot of good things
- Felt Coyle's line was the best line for his club
- Praised Fantilli for his improvement on the attention to detail
- They've asked Fantilli to play more sound defensively, rather than focusing on scoring goals

- No one addressed anything about the past. They all remained focused on the game at hand
- Felt the team is mature enough to overcome what happened in their last game against the Oilers
- Nice to see things go right this game - but again, the team never worried about the past
- Mentioned the team is very calm despite tough start to the season
- Feels it has been a lot with the schedule but the team has felt good
- He doesn't pay attention to the schedule, he does look ahead but lives day by day
- Made sure to mention to his team, that the whole league is going through a tough schedule with the Olympic break. They need to take it day by day and not worry to much.
Adam Fantili:
- Felt great to close out this game after how they lost the last time against the Oilers
- Didn't feel the team changed how they were playing, just had a different result
- Felt the team played their game
- Collecting points in stretches like this, can increase their chances in making the playoffs - something they didn't go last season
- Hasn't changed his game but now feels things are finally going right for him

- His line takes pride in how they are playing and what they do every night
- Said the win felt even better that it was on Hockey Fights Cancer night
- Praised the team's communication
- Feels this team has good details even when losing
- Had a good laugh about his bubble-head and how it is without a stick or gloves
Kris Knoblauch: Head Coach
- Felt the momentum got away from them when they didn't have the puck
- Felt the team struggled around their own net
- Team has to make it harder for Columbus to get inside position
- Didn't feel like a second half of a back-to-back
- Felt the team played very well in the third period
- Overall, he felt the team played well - didn't get lucky late in the third but thought the team played one of their best third periods all season
Darnell Nurse:
- Felt the game was a game of momentum shifts
- They have the Blue Jackets to many looks from the slot
- Mentioned that CBJ has a lot of guys who can score if they give them time and space
- Battled hard in the third but fell short - an effort that he felt wasn't good enough
- The day off tomorrow is going to help them get rid for Saturday night
