GM Don Waddell appeared on Sportsnet 650 this morning on the Halford & Brough in the Morning show in Vancouver.

He spoke about a lot of things, and of course the goalie situation was brought up.

Waddell was asked, "Are you looking for another goalie?" "I go to bed looking for goalies," he jokes. He talks about how Elvis won the team some games last season and played really well.

The host then asked Waddell a very important question, and it's one to stir some emotions around the Blue Jackets fanbase.

"Would you consider having a conversation with the Carter Hart camp?" the host asked. Waddell responded with, "That's a tough one! We obviously have talked about it internally here. We don't have to worry about it right now, because the league's not authorized those guys to go any place. That's probably a decision that I would take upstairs to my ownership if we were interested. You know, it's tough, I've got to be honest. Because there's the hockey side, and the personal side, and you know we've got to see how this is all going to play out. But, you know, time, I guess, will tell." Waddell goes on to joke, "I know I dodged that pretty good."

This topic is sure to ruffle some feathers around Columbus and the league. After Carter Hart and the other players were found not guilty in their trial, the NHL said that they wouldn't be eligible to return to the league, despite their not guilty verdict. I would venture to guess that somewhere down the line, those players will be deemed eligible again and will resume their NHL careers.

Carter Hart is 96-93-29 with a .906 SV% in six seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Waddell also re-addressed the Yegor Chinakhov situation with the show.
