
Elliotte Friedman said on his 32 Thoughts Podcast today that he believes Columbus made a really good offer to the New York Islanders for defenseman Noah Dobson.
Other than the 14th and 20th picks, he said he believes Dmitri Voronkov was on the table for Columbus, and that the Jackets offered more money per season to Dobson than Montreal did.
"Columbus was right in there," said Friedman.
Montreal ended up getting Dobson in the end. Dobson apparently wanted to play in Montreal all along, so no offer Columbus sent over would've worked unless it absolutely blew the doors off of Mathieu Darche.
Did Dobson and his camp use the Jackets as a bargaining chip?
