Last night, Columbus Blue Jackets' recent call-up Joseph LaBate dropped the gloves with former Blue Jackets captain Nick Foligno.

Werenski Extends Home Point Streak To 22 Games Werenski Extends Home Point Streak To 22 Games Columbus Blue Jackets' defensement Zach Werenski has extended his point streak to 22 games. In the game last night against the Chicago Blackhawks, he recorded a three point night including a breakaway goal.

Foligno, now the captain of the Chicago Blackhawks, gave LaBate his welcome-to-the-NHL moment in their fight.

LaBate threw a hit on Foligno, which led to the scrap. The Blackhawks captain was knocked down, and when he got back to his feet, he dropped the gloves and landed three lefts before the Blue Jackets forward could even get his gloves off.

The fight was a clear mismatch, as Foligno beat the wheels off him. Unfortunately for LaBate, he wasn’t able to land a punch—the only one he threw missed while he was getting hit with right hands.

LaBate may think twice before dropping the gloves with another NHL veteran as tough as "Uncle Nick."
