Per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic, defenseman Jordan Harris will not be given a qualifying offer, this making him an unrestricted free agent. 

Harris was acquired last year in the Patrik Laine trade and failed to get much ice time. He played in 33 games for the Jackets, scoring one goal and totaling five points.

REPORT: Ivan Provorov and Blue Jackets Still In Talks On New Deal According to Pierre LeBrun and Aaron Portzline, the Columbus Blue Jackets and Ivan Provorov had extended negotiations over the weekend that went deep into Sunday. Waddell said in a radio interview today that they talked until midnight on Sunday night.
