    The stars are out tonight.

After falling in Game 4, the Dallas Stars are looking to rebound in a big way on Monday night.

Back on their home turf, the Stars will attempt to put the Colorado Avalanche on the brink of elimination once Game 5 concludes.

    Stars Forward Lines

    Granlund - Hintz - Rantanen

    Marchment - Duchene - Seguin

    Benn - Johnston - Dadonov

    Back - Steel - Blackwell

The only substitution coming for the Stars is putting Oskar Back into the lineup and giving the healthy scratch to Mavrik Bourque.

Bourque came in for Back in Game 4, to give him the time necessary to be healthy enough to play in Game 5. Bourque filled in admirably, putting two shots on net, throwing two hits, and blocking one shot in 13:11 of ice time.

    Stars Defense Pairings

    Lindell - Ceci

    Harley - Lyubushkin

    Bichsel - Petrovic

No changes here for the Stars’ blueline. Esa Lindell and Cody Ceci have been receiving the tough defensive assignments, so expect that to continue.

Head coach Pete DeBoer confirmed that Miro Heiskanen won’t play in Game 5. He is inching closer to a return, but that return won’t be for Game 5 on Monday night.

Stars Goaltender Might Have To Be Perfect For Stars To Take Series Lead In Colorado Stars Goaltender Might Have To Be Perfect For Stars To Take Series Lead In Colorado The Dallas Stars prepare for their Game Three matchup as they head to Colorado. The Stars are coming of a thrilling conclusion in Game Two as they pulled off a win in overtime to tie the series. The Stars will now face the tough task of winning games in the Ball Arena, a location that has not been kind to Dallas this season. The Stars will need goaltender Jake Oettinger to continue his solid play, or even take his play to another level, to give the Stars an edge to come back home with a series lead.

The Stars will go back to Jake Oettinger between the pipes. There shouldn’t be any big concern about his ability to stop the puck after the bad game he had in Game 4. However, the Stars are going to have to find a way to limit high danger chances so that their goaltender has a less difficult time than last game.

Puck drop will be 8:30 PM Central time.
