    Winning feels good.

Just ask the Dallas Stars; they stormed back from a 3-1 deficit on Wednesday night. Three third-period powerplay goals propelled them to a 6-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

It was refreshing to come out of Game 1 with a victory. That hasn’t happened often for the Stars’ and the opening games of the series.

One former Stars player enjoyed success in a Game 5 situation. Alexander Radulov and his team (Yaroslavl Lokomotiv) won Game 5 of the KHL Final by a 2-1 score in overtime.

Radulov is now a Gagarin Cup winner (KHL’s Stanley Cup).

He may have left the Stars, but his competitive spirit didn’t. Radulov propelled his team to victory in the KHL playoffs. In 21 games, he recorded 16 points while playing 18:16 a night.

That performance was so impressive that he was named the MVP of the playoffs.

Perhaps the most impressive stat on his boxscore for the postseason was his 26 blocked shots. As a forward, he demonstrates his desire to win. Laying his body on the line shows that he is willing to play stingy defense and not just score his way to a championship.

And he and his team were rewarded for that effort.
