Emotions were high heading into Saturday night’s game. Mark Scheifele played in Saturday’s game, despite getting the tragic news that his father had passed away early in the morning. To his credit, he scored the lone goal for the Jets in the loss.
Thomas Harley played the overtime hero for the Stars, netting the game-winning goal at the end of the Stars' powerplay in the extra frame.

The National Hockey League isn’t the only league to feature great hockey players.
Now, the Stars turn their attention to vengeance. Vengeance in the form of defeating the same team that sent them home in last year’s Western Conference Finals, the Edmonton Oilers.
The Oilers defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in five games. Their last two games of the series were back-to-back shutouts for Stuart Skinner.
They are playing a tight defensive game, limiting scoring chances and denying zone entries. The most impressive part of their recent success is that they have done it without top defender Mattias Ekholm.
Offensively speaking, this team is more than just Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Corey Perry, Connor Brown, and Kasperi Kapanen have all contributed goals at key moments.
It’s only a matter of time before a schedule for Round 3 is announced.
