The Dallas Stars have announced the numbers for the new incoming players this season.

The Stars welcomed back Radek Faksa when they signed him during free agency on a three-year deal. They also acquired Vladislov Kolyachonok in the trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins for Matt Dumba. And earlier this month, in a late free agency signing, they also picked up Nathan Bastian, former New Jersey Devil.
For Faksa, the number choice was probably a no-brainer. Faksa, who was drafted by the Stars in 2012, wore number 12 most of his career with the Stars organization and nine seasons in the NHL. Luckily for him, that number was still available for his return. Faksa spent one year with the St Louis Blues playing for former Dallas coach, Jim Montgomery. Although, in Faksa's year absence, Arttu Hyry played five games for Dallas and he sported number 12.
Kolyachonok, who played NHL games for the Arizona Coyotes, Utah Hockey Club and Penguins was announced to be wearing number 44 for the Stars. That number was last worn by Joel Hanley who was traded to the Calgary Flames at the deadline for Chris Tanev during the 2023-24 season.
The latest signing, Bastian, will be wearing number 11, last wore by Logan Stankoven who was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in a package for Mikko Rantanen last season.
It is unclear if the Stars will make any more moves or additions. They do not have any extra money laying around, but perhaps they could entertain the idea of having someone on for a professional try out during training camp.
