Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports - Stars Recall Top Prospect Logan Stankoven

The Dallas Stars have recalled forward Logan Stankoven from the Texas Stars.

The Stars have been dealing with some injury issues and in their last game against the Boston Bruins, they were without Evgenii Dadonov, Matt Duchene, Jani Hakanpaa and Nils Lundkvist

In the move to recall Stankoven, Alexander Petrovic has been loaned to Texas. Petrovic only played in one game after being recalled to the Stars which was yesterday's game against the Bruins.

The Stars are playing in a back-to-back tonight against the New York Rangers and if Dadonov and Duchene aren't able to play, the Stars could look to play Stankoven and possibly give someone in the lineup some rest.

Stankoven has 24 goals and 57 points in 46 games this season in the AHL. Stankoven was an AHL all-star and currently leads the AHL in points.

We have to wait to see who Stankoven could be skating alongside and who would come out of the lineup from yesterday's game, but the offensive versatility that Stankoven possesses will allow him to play anywhere in the lineup.
