It’s not easy to overcome the loss of major players.

But that’s exactly what the Dallas Stars did in their victorious first-round series. They defeated the Colorado Avalanche in seven games. Impressively, they did so without Jason Robertson or Miro Heiskanen.

Robertson was injured during the last game of the regular season. In his 82 games, he recorded 35 goals and 45 assists for 80 points. His time on ice took a slight dip from 18:19 a game last season to 17:48 in the 2024-25 season.

Heiskanen missed 32 games in the regular season. His year was cut short due to a knee injury. Before the unfortunate end to his season, he had recorded 25 points in 50 games, averaging 25:10 a night.

When Will Robertson And Heiskanen Play Next?

In his post-game scrum, head coach Pete DeBoer updated Stars fans on when they can see Heiskanen and Robertson next.

“I believe you are going to see them both play in the second round,” DeBoer revealed. “But I don’t know if it’s going to be Game 1 or Game 3 or Game 5. I consider them both day-to-day now, but there’s still some hurdles.”

DeBoer elaborated by saying that their status greatly depends on when their next series will start.

“It all depends on when we start the series,” DeBoer stated. “How much time we have between now and Game 1. We’ll have a little better idea as we get closer.”

Hold on to your cowboy hats; this next series could be exciting for Stars fans.
