The Dallas Stars will have a long summer ahead of them now that the NHL Draft and the coaching search are completed. While Dallas officially welcomed their new head coach Glen Gulutzan on Jul. 2nd, the tough part is still ahead of them as General Manager Jim Nill will continue to clear cap space, as well as finish off the roster before Summer's end. The potential slew of moves made by the Stars to get their roster right could lead to a few casualties, with Jason Robertson's exit out of Dallas to be the first of many this offseason.

The Dallas Stars have gotten a head start on their offseason of revamping their roster, while also clearing some room in their salary cap. It was announced on June 19th that the Stars dealt Mason Marchment to the Seattle Kraken for a couple of draft picks. They also would ink Mavrik Bourque and Nils Lundkvist to one-year contract extensions. While also resigning Jaimie Benn and Colin Blackwell.

Now that the dust has settled, the Stars still find themselves with a sliver of salary cap space and aiming to trim down the current number. With their options currently running out, one move that has been constantly discussed is a trade of Jason Robertson. The Dallas forward is currently going into the final year of his four-year contact that carrier a cap hit of $7.75 million. While there are many that wish to see the 25-year old forward to remain in Dallas, the Star may not have many options especially after signing 8-yr, $96 million contact this offseason.

Two questions will be answered this summer. Will the Stars pull the trigger on a trade that sends Jason Robertson out of town? And if so, what will Dallas be to bring back in return?
