Joe Veleno and Christian Fischer ready to return; Austin Czarnik and Jonatan Berggren returned to Grand Rapids

After yesterday's practice, Derek Lalonde confirmed that forwards Joe Veleno and Christian Fischer will be ready to return from injury this evening against the Boston Bruins.

Neither Fischer nor Veleno has played since the December 22nd game in New Jersey before the Red Wings' three-day Christmas break, missing the road loss in Minnesota and home victory over Nashville.

With Fischer and Veleno now available, Detroit returned forwards Austin Czarnik and Jonatan Berggren to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Lalonde also noted that Alex Lyon—who stopped 33 of 37 in the win over the Predators, making his return from a two-week stretch on injured reserve—will start in goal for the Red Wings against the Bruins.
