Is McDavid’s Concern About Speed to the Net Fair?

There is a lot of discussion after Connor McDavid said he didn’t like the hit from Drew Helleson in the Ducks vs Oilers game. Some believe he’s right to call it dangerous. Others say he shouldn’t get a free pass through the crease.

Where do you sit?

Should a player going Mach 1 into the crease area be responsible for his speed or should a player not be allowed to check a player into the net?
