EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers are an incredibly fortunate hockey team.

They have two of the best players on their roster - Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid. McDavid has already hit the 100 point threshold, and now Draisaitl has too.
In the first period of the Oilers game versus the Colorado Avalanche, Draisaitl assisted on a wrap around goal by the captain. This is the third straight season that Draisaitl has reached this feat - fifth overall in his career.

Draisaitl has 39 goals and 61 assists on the season. Neither him nor McDavid are on the same torrid pace as last year. In 2022-23 he finished with 52 goals and 76 assists.
At the end of one period the game is tied 2-2. Jonathan Drouin and Ross Colton scored the two goals for the Avalanche while Corey Perry opened the scoring for the Oilers.
