At least that's an expression used in fantasy hockey circles to describe an often misunderstood position. So much of what makes a goaltender successful is their mental toughness.
The Edmonton Oilers have had their fair share of great goaltenders - and not so great goaltenders. There is one goalie who recently played for them who left to be closer to family.

Mikko Koskinen has spent the last two seasons playing in the Swiss National League (NL). Over those two seasons he posted some very respectable numbers with a 2.93 goals against average (GAA) and a .900 save percentage (SV%) in 33 games last year - to go along with a 2.78 GAA and a .900 SV% in 28 games this year.
According to the Finnish outlet Iltalehti - Koskinen will be retiring from professional hockey. According to Iltalehti, there was talk that Koskinen would come back next year to play for another team, but it appears that things have changed.

The 35-year-old Finnish goalie played for the Oilers for four seasons. His best year statistically speaking - came in 2019-20. In 38 games played he had a 18-13-3 record with a single shutout. He had a 2.75 GAA and a .917 SV% that year.
Before coming over to the Oilers he had spent five seasons honing his craft in the KHL. In his final year in the KHL he had a 22-4-1 record to go along with a 1.57 GAA, a .937 SV% and five shutouts in 29 games.
All the best to you in retirement Koskinen.
