It hasn't been the Edmonton Oilers night so far against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
EDMONTON -- You never want to be down by five goals in a game.
Right now the Edmonton Oilers are getting absolutely embarrassed by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Much ink has been spilled about Zach Hyman coming into his old barn and hitting goal number 49 and 50.

That looks like a pipe dream right now.
The Oilers are getting out worked, out played and out scored. Something has got to give.
Surely there are several people in the locker room right now expressing their disbelief in the sub-par play happening across the board tonight. They need to figure things out - and fast.
The last time the Oilers were down this many goals this season was the dreadful 8-1 season opener loss to the Vancouver Canucks.
To top it all off, Leon Draisaitl and Evander Kane appeared to have a heated moment on the Oilers bench.
Draisaitl is very clearly expressing some disappointment or frustration with Kane. When a game starts to get out of reach, it's very common to see tensions rise with certain players.
The fact that Kane appears to be receptive to what Draisaitl is saying is a positive sign. The players are looking like they are trying to sort things out.
They have their work cut out for them.
