Every Edmonton Oilers player needs to bring their best in tonight's game against the Nashville Predators.
The Edmonton Oilers are starting the year in a way no one would imagine, with a 0-2 record. The last time they lost the first two games of the season was in 2018-19.
They have allowed 12 goals against in two games, only scoring four themselves. Not all of those goals can be blamed on the goalies - but team defense and goaltending need to be better.
The Oilers are very aware that everyone needs to be better.
Jay Woodcroft said so after Saturday's game, when asked about Stuart Skinner. "There's good moments in his game and there are things he can clean up."
The Oilers play on the road tonight against the Nashville Predators. The team has shuffled their forward lines - moving Connor Brown to the third line, Warren Foegele to the second line and Leon Draisaitl with Connor McDavid and Evander Kane.
For the Oilers to win tonight, they will need everyone to play better. They know they can, and we've seen them play better. It's only a matter of time.
