The Oilers are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games. Conversely, the Lightning are 7-2-1 in their previous 10. They ride a five-game winning streak into Tuesday night’s game.
The Oilers practiced yesterday, but those lines might be moot considering some changes announced at morning skate earlier Tuesday. Kris Knoblauch spoke with the media and explained the changes.
The Oilers will roll the dice with Stuart Skinner tending the net. He will look to rebound off of a poor game over the weekend.
Skinner has posted two back-to-back Really Bad Starts (RBS). A RBS is a game where the goaltender posts a save percentage of .850 or less.
He has the potential to bounce back in a big way. The Oilers will look for him to do that Tuesday night.

The Oilers will make one roster change on defense. John Klingberg will get a game off, while Troy Stecher will draw in.
Klingberg has two points in seven games while averaging 17:21 of ice time per game. Stecher has six points in 44 games while playing 13:49 per game.
After a back-to-back this past weekend, it makes sense to give Klingberg a game off. The seven games he has played this year are the first seven since November of 2023.
Jeff Skinner just can’t catch a break. The veteran forward has four points in his last four games but will be a healthy scratch. He scored his 11th goal of the season in Sunday’s loss to the Washington Capitals.
Mattias Janmark will draw back into the lineup. The Swedish forward has 16 points in 56 games this year. He has averaged 12:59 of ice time per game for the Oilers.
The game will be televised on Sportsnet One at 5:30 PM Mountain Time.
