EDMONTON -- The time has almost come.
The Edmonton Oilers are over two hours away from their third playoff round series kicking off. They will be in tough against the Dallas Stars. This is the team that eliminated both the Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights before turning their attention toward the Oilers.
Edmonton Oilers. It is sure to be an exciting series - filled with tight games and high scoring ones in equal measure.
The Stars took to the ice for a morning skate - and Pete DeBoer gave an update on a few players that would be of interest to Oilers fans.
Roope Hintz. It looks like Jake Oettinger is getting the nod in net for the Stars. It also appears that Roope Hintz will not be playing tonight. This will be the third consecutive playoff game that he has missed after not dressing for the last two games against the Avalanche.
Hintz has six points in 11 games so far this post season for the Stars. While he isn't the best player on their team - he will continue to be missed. This is an opportunity the Oilers should do their best to take advantage of - as getting out to a 1-0 series lead would be a huge benefit to the Oilers.
