It's an eclectic list featuring Jimmy Fallon, Drake and a whole lot more.

EDMONTON -- Waiting is the hardest part.

Waiting for your teeth to get pulled, waiting for bad news, and even waiting for good news can be excruciating. Edmonton Oilers fans have been chomping at the bit for the Stanley Cup Finals to get underway.
So naturally, anything that pops up is fair game to go down a never-ending rabbit hole on.

Enter Google.
I've taken a look at Google Trends since the Western Conference final finished and put together a list of the top five searched items (in Canada) since the Oilers last played hockey. Here they are.
It's not surprising that one of the most searched items is the last time that the Oilers were in the Stanley Cup Finals. Long time Oilers fans will remember the 2006 playoff run.

Newer fans will obviously want to brush up on their history before the big series. The Oilers went the distance but fell short. Many believe this was primarily due to goaltending. During the 2006 Cup run, Dwayne Roloson was injured early in the series and the Oilers had to rely on their second and third string goalies. The Oilers will look to rewrite the narrative this time around.
Jimmy Fallon has a segment on his show named, Tonight Show Superlatives. Two nights ago, he hosted a Stanley Cup Final edition.
Some of the Oilers and Florida Panthers featured in the clip were Corey Perry, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Calvin Pickard and Spencer Knight. Some keen observers were quick to note that Knight (and a few others I didn't mention) have not been on the roster at all during the playoffs.
Whoops.
Drake the Canadian-born rapper has made headlines recently for non-hockey related reasons. He engaged in a rap beef with fellow artist Kendrick Lamar. The two went back and forth exchanging diss tracks.
Yesterday Drake made waves when he posted screenshots on Instagram of a couple bets he made. One of them, was for the Oilers to win the Stanley Cup. As far as Oilers fans are concerned, they are certainly hoping a Stanley Cup is part of "God's Plan."
With the excitement of playoff games comes the excitement of attending them. The atmosphere is energizing as all of Rogers Place comes alive. Some fans get lost in the moment (more on that later) and others drink to their heart's content (please drink responsibly).

Finding tickets for the games has now become a near-impossible task. Between the presale lasting mere minutes and resale ticket prices shooting through the roof, it's a tall order to acquire tickets if you don't already have them.
The "Oilers flasher" has become famous in recent days. A fan was recorded "exposing herself" while in the crowd at an Oilers game. The clip might be brief, but a large portion of the fanbase is obsessed.
This is clear from all the different phrases people have been searching for. Here is a (very brief) list; "oilers flasher", "oilers fan flashes crowd twitter", "oilers fan flashes", and "oilers boob lady."

It's clear from this list that Oilers' fans are counting down the hours until Game one. For Oilers' fans sake, let's hope the top searched phrase after this series is "Oilers win Stanley Cup."
