EDMONTON -- It's the most wonderful time of the year.

The Edmonton Oilers are playing playoff hockey once again. This time - for the third consecutive year - they will play the Los Angeles Kings in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Oilers have had the Kings number for the last two seasons, will that streak continue this year? It remains to be seen.

While the majority of playoff hockey begins Saturday and Sunday - the Oilers don't have their first puck drop until Monday night. They kick off the series at home, featuring 8:00 PM Mountain Time starts.

One of the most entertaining aspects of this time of year is all of the fan predictions. Countless people share their NHL Brackets about who they think will win against who. Biases are revealed and common sense (often) ignored.

One Dave Portnoy (founder of Barstool Sports) shared a screenshot of his big bet this post season. And no - that's not an exaggeration.

He has wagered $150,000 on the Oilers to win the Stanley Cup. Because of the odds that the Oilers hold he would be paid out $1,200,000 if the Oilers win it all.

This might be the most intense bid I've ever seen on a hockey team. I would not recommend any average hockey-loving fan to wager this amount of money on any bet.

We will see if the Oilers can make him an even richer man.
