The Edmonton Oilers find themselves in the unfortunate 2-0 series deficit that threatens to end their playoff run short of a Stanley Cup. The Florida Panthers allowed a goal on the Oilers first shot of the game. After that they shut the door, and posted four unanswered goals of their own.

It was a heated game from start to finish. The grueling nature of the playoffs took its toll on several players. From Darnell Nurse to Aleksander Barkov to Aaron Ekblad, many exited the game for various amounts of time. A total of 68 hits combined and 57 penalty minutes were dished out for Game two.

In the dying minutes of the game, things became heated after Connor McDavid rushed the Panthers net.

It was four on four hockey at the time and the whistle had blown the play dead. Matthew Tkachuk gave him a quick cross check with his stick as the play died, and then pinned McDavid to the boards. The referees came and tried to break the players up.

As the referees are breaking them up, McDavid gets a shot in on Tkachuk. They both try to pull away from the referee and exchange some words with each other.

McDavid finished the game with the one assist on Mattias Ekholm's goal in 25:59 of ice time. Both teams have two days to reset before Game three's puck drop on Thursday at 6 PM Mountain time.
