The Toronto Maple Leafs' superfan shot down an interesting comparison on one of his live streams.

EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers are not the Toronto Maple Leafs.

But that's not what (at least) one Maple Leafs fan thinks of the Oilers.
After going down 1-0 in the Stanley Cup Final, Steve Dangle responded to some live stream questions. One fan asked, "are the Oilers just the Leafs of the West?"
Dangle's reaction to this should be every Oilers' fans mentality about the team. Dangle said, "no. The Oilers went to the final four two years ago, they're in the Stanley Cup Final now. I would kill to be down 1-0 in the Stanley Cup Final right now."

There's a degree of gratitude in his comment that needs to be highlighted. Because of the long drought between Cup Final appearances, fans need to be happy that the Oilers are at the final dance.
It's interesting to hear a superfan of another team talk about the Oilers. In the case of Steve Dangle, he hasn't gone through what most Oilers' fans have. However, he's endured his own hardships as a fan of the Maple Leafs.

The Oilers aren't satisfied by just being at the Cup Final, they want to win. That desire is being tested early in this series by the Panthers.
Game two is tonight with a 6 PM start time.
