EDMONTON -- Things aren't going great in Florida.

The Edmonton Oilers are going toe-to-toe with the Florida Panthers in Game one of the Stanley Cup Final. The Oilers have been throwing everything including the kitchen sink, lawnmower, vacuum and coffee maker at the Panthers' goalie Sergei Bobrovsky. The Russian netminder has remained perfect, so far.

While the Oilers are throwing tonnes of shots on goal, the Panthers have been hitting everything that moves. The hit count is 45-26 in favor of the Panthers. None of them bigger than the one Sam Bennett had on Connor McDavid.

Curiously, the puck was nowhere near the play. It could be argued that there should have been a penalty on the play. It's tough for the Oilers to argue with that, as they had already earned three power plays by the time this hit happened.

This game has looked like it's been the Oilers against Bobrovsky. The Panthers starting goalie has stood on his head and has kept the home team in the game. They have scored on their chances, despite being out-shot by the Oilers (26-12).

The Oilers have 20 minutes left to mount a comeback and avoid digging themselves an early hole in the series.

I'm not sure it would work but I'd love to see them try Bucket with those two. He's got hands and an ability to carry the puck through a crowd, plus as he grows into his frame he could become a monster along the boards and in front of the net.

Eventually, Beckett Sennecke. The trio of Carlsson, Gauthier, and Sennecke would be very difficult for the opposing team to counter. The length all of them possess would allow them to cover the entire width of the ice. They would score a bunch of goals while not giving up much.

silentboba That's a good shout. That trio could do some real damage on both sides of the puck and dominate possession. The only draw back may be that they're all so puck-dominant

Yeah that trio seems inevitable and would be so much fun to watch as they dominate possession
