EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers will play the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow night to extend their winning streak to 15-games. They are presently on the longest consecutive win streak of any Canadian-based team in the NHL.

Additionally, they have had 12 games in a row of allowing two or less goals a game. In large part due to their stellar goaltending by Stuart Skinner. But also credit must be given to the defensemen.
The Oilers have decided to add to their defenseman with a call up tonight.
Phil Kemp was just sent down yesterday, and has now been recalled. At face value this appears to be a paper transaction to allow the Oilers to officially register Corey Perry's contract.

At this point in time, Perry is still projected to play on Saturday against the Nashville Predators.
