The former Edmonton Oilers defenseman is finding a groove with his new team.
The Edmonton Oilers have gone through several young defenders on the road to get to where they are right now - a playoff team with high Stanley Cup hopes.
Caleb Jones and William Lagesson are two young defenders who have landed with new teams this season. Jones was traded to the Colorado Avalanche while Lagesson signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs as a free agent this past summer.
One young promising defenseman who had a long arduous summer is Ethan Bear. Once traded for Warren Foegele, Bear now plays for the Washington Capitals.
He played his first game with the Capitals on December 30 against the Nashville Predators - he played 20:05 that game. So far in his nine games he has averaged 16:52 of ice time per game.
He has two points thus far - one goal and one assist. He recorded his first assist in that first game. His first goal however, came tonight.
It's safe to say that Bear looks pretty good in game action. This displayed some good puck skills, so good on him for making that play.
He might not be playing for the Oilers anymore but fans of the Oilers are no doubt cheering for his success.
