Former Edmonton Oilers forward Zack Kassian has come out of retirement. He is continuing his playing career overseas with Czech Extraliga's HC Sparta Praha.

EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers just began the third period of their game against the Anaheim Ducks. The score is 2-2 with the Oilers getting two goals from their bruising winger, Evander Kane.

Cam Fowler scored the first goal of the game against the Oilers. It was his third goal of the season and came on the power play - off of an interference call on Connor McDavid.

The second goal from the Ducks came from a familiar face for most Oilers fans.

After Kane got the Oilers on the board at 9:11 of the second period - the Ducks immediately got one back. Ryan Strome scored 29 seconds later, off of some offensive zone time. He collected a pass in the slot and moved around the crease to lift the puck past Calvin Pickard.

As a refresher, he was traded away from the Oilers back in 2018-19. Since then he has scored more than 40 points in each of the four seasons after his time with the Copper and Blue.

He's on pace this year to match the point total he had last year - his first season with the Ducks.
