EDMONTON -- "There ain't no rest for the wicked."

Or at least that's how the saying goes. Not all hockey players are wicked, but there isn't a lot of time for rest for any of the Edmonton Oilers this summer.

A good amount of players are either back on the ice or back in the gym. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl were spotted working out together a week and a half ago. None have been spotted on the ice yet.

Recently traded Ryan McLeod has been skating with Sam Gagner and Bo Horvat. All three have been taking to the ice in sessions with Muskoka Hockey, in which Gagner is the founder.

There was something different about what McLeod was wearing at the skate.

The blue pants obviously aren't new for McLeod. But now he's swapped orange stripes for yellow ones. No doubt this will look strange to a large majority of Oilers' fans.

McLeod had a big year with the Oilers in 2023-24. In 81 games he recorded a career high 30 points. He was also a huge part of the Oilers' incredible penalty kill all season and playoffs long.

Best of luck to McLeod as he begins his first year with his new team, the Buffalo Sabres.
