A former Edmonton Oilers goalie did his best to motivate the Rogers Place crowd.
EDMONTON -- They went all out until there was no more juice left in the tank.

That's how things looked at least from the press box of the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 loss to the Florida Panthers. With that loss, the Oilers fall into an enormous 3-0 series deficit.
The Oilers had a much better offensive effort last night. It was the first time they mustered more than one goal on Sergei Bobrovsky. Ryan McLeod and Warren Foegele contributed from the forward ranks, while Philip Broberg continued his strong play while skating on his off side.
At various times the crowd became wild with enthusiasm for the home team. One of the biggest moments of that was when a former Oilers goalie showed up on the jumbotron.
Mike Smith was spotted taking in the Oilers game. Once he realized that he was on camera he tried to fire up the crowd as only Smith can.
Smith hasn't played for the Oilers in two years. He was injured last year, which was also the last year of his contract with the Oilers.
The Oilers are going to need all of the good luck they can get to stave off elimination in Game four.
All hands on deck.
