Klim Kostin has found his stride early with the San Jose Sharks.
EDMONTON -- Sometimes you need to be on the right team at the right time - and your career can take off.
Edmonton Oilers fans are seeing that right now with Toronto Maple Leafs castaway Zach Hyman. The hard working Oilers forward is on pace for his best offensive season yet - including a (projected) 50+ goals.

One former Oilers forward who is finding early success with his new team is none other than Klim Kostin. He also knows a thing or two about a change of scenery.

In the past two seasons he is onto his fourth team. That's hardly a recipe for success with a young player. Regardless of his changing surroundings it appears that Kostin has found the right mix with the San Jose Sharks.
So far he has played five games for the Sharks and has two goals and two assists. For his latest goal he showed off his deft puck skills - by one-touching the puck into the net off of a feed from Mikael Granlund.
Kostin has spent 17:16 of ice time skating alongside Fabian Zetterlund and Granlund in his five games with the team. It seems like they are a good fit so far.
He's skated 16:34, 15:57, 13:02, 11:14 and 6:41 in his first five games. He's obviously gaining the coaching staff's trust - and making them look good by cashing in on his opportunities.
Oilers fans will get a chance to see Kostin again - at home - on April 15th for the last home game of the season.
