Former Oilers depth forward has found a new home with the Seattle Kraken.

Former Edmonton Oilers forward Devin Shore has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Seattle Kraken. He will carry a $775,000 cap hit and have a $250,000 minor-league salary.

Shore, 29, appeared in 47 games for the Oilers in 2022-23, posting one goal, nine points, 46 hits, and a plus-6 rating. Overall, he proved to be a serviceable extra forward for the Oilers, and now he will try to be the same for the Kraken.

The Kraken sport a deep forward group heading into 2023-24, so Shore will have an uphill battle to be a regular in their lineup. Yet, he should serve as a decent 13th forward or call-up option when injuries inevitably arise during the season.
