EDMONTON -- That's one way to win a game.

After losing the first game 5-4 in regulation, overtime was needed to resolve the Edmonton Oilers second game of the series against the Vancouver Canucks. A back and forth night finally ended at 5:38 of overtime, with Evan Bouchard bouncing a puck in off of Ian Cole's stick.

It was a massive, massive win for the Oilers team. It cannot be overstated how important it was for them to head back to Edmonton with a split in the series.

Bouchard was the center of celebrations - for good reason, as his shot was eventually what counted as the game winner. He is not a player that people would describe as enthusiastic or energetic.

However, one moment of excitement almost ended badly for the Oilers.

Bouchard had both arms reached out in celebration - while Leon Draisaitl skates by and is clotheslined by Bouchard's arm. Draisaitl certainly wasn't expecting that - as expert mouth readers can tell by the reaction he had.

It looked like Draisaitl was trying to skate by Bouchard and Zach Hyman celebrating, to go celebrate with another teammate. It's very fortunate that this seemed very harmless - but you never know what is going on injury-wise during the playoffs.

Now the Oilers go back to Rogers Place for a Mothers' Day game, which is sure to energize them. Especially off the heels of such an emotionally charged win.
