Connor McDavid continues to do the things that only McDavid can do. He will certainly finish this season with 100 assists - and we will see how close he can sneak up to 1000 career points.
Last night was Leon Draisaitl's night of achievements. His second accomplishment was hitting 500 career assists. He didn't do it in as few of games as McDavid did (527), but it's still an incredible feat to get to that milestone. Instead, he got there in 713 career games.

His first achievement seemed like his least impressive - until you look at it more in depth.
Draisaitl recorded his 61st assist on McDavid's first goal, giving him 100 points on the season. With that milestone reached he became a member of elite company.
He became the Oilers player with the fourth most 100 point seasons - tying with the great Mark Messier. Only Wayne Gretzky, Jari Kurri and McDavid have had more 100 point seasons with the Oilers.
That's remarkable company to keep and I'm sure Draisaitl will keep this game in his memory bank for quite a while.
