The Bakersfield Condors veteran has revealed when his last game will be.
EDMONTON -- Many Bakersfield Condors veterans are playing with the Edmonton Oilers.

Philip Broberg, Dylan Holloway, Stuart Skinner and Ryan McLeod are just a few players who have spent time with the Oilers AHL affiliate in the hopes of securing regular NHL positions. Skinner and McLeod have obviously secured their own places in the lineup while Broberg and Holloway continue to grind at putting their own stamp on the team.
One player who was not able to do that is Brad Malone. The 34-year-old forward has been an AHL veteran who has provided depth in the case of injuries across multiple organizations.
Yesterday, in a statement released by the Condors, announced that this would be the final year he will play professional hockey.
He was last spotted in the NHL last season (2022-23) playing 10 games for the Oilers. Malone didn't register any points and averaged 7:41 of ice time per game. While he didn't have a ton of success at the NHL level - the AHL is where he thrived.
At this point in his career he has 290 points in 551 total games. In addition to the Condors he has played for the Hershey Bears, Chicago Wolves, and Lake Erie Monsters. His most productive run came in the 2021-22 season with the Condors. Malone collected 14 goals and 25 assists for 39 total points in 52 games.
In addition to the Oilers he also played games for the Colorado Avalanche and Carolina Hurricanes.
For the last four seasons (including this one) Malone has served as the captain for the Condors. He is the longest serving captain in team history. His contributions will be recognized tomorrow night during the Condor's Fan Appreciation night.
