The team had two days off in between games. On the first off day, Thursday, they announced a hire in the hockey operations department. Dani Rylan Kearney was brought in as a professional scout with the organization. She most recently founded - and was commissoner - for the National Women's Hockey League.
Markus Niemelainen. On Friday they made two roster moves. The first involved putting Markus Niemelainen on waivers. The second one was signing Adam Erne to a one year two-way contract.
In their rematch against the Canucks they put forth a much better effort, but achieved a very similar result. They lost 4-3, two of the goals were tip-ins and one was from a 2-on-0 rush.
