The Edmonton Oilers are taking in one final practice on home ice before starting their second round series against the Vancouver Canucks on the road. Tomorrow night is the first game in what should be a hard-fought (potentially) long series.
Since the Oilers have started practicing after their first round win against the Los Angeles Kings - Adam Henrique and Evander Kane have been taking maintenance days.
Today Kane returned to practice - at his usual position on Leon Draisaitl's wing for the team's second line. Henrique on the other hand, has not returned.
Some are speculating that he will not be available for tomorrow - specifically Jason Gregor in his tweet posted earlier today. Henrique has been incredibly physical so far this post season. Henrique's 22 hits have him ranked first among all Oilers skaters in hits. Zach Hyman is second with 19 hits and Kane is third with 17.
His presence has been a welcomed addition in the post season. He's excited to be with the team and has amped up his play on both sides of the puck. Henrique's elevated physicality and two-way play will be vital for the team as they continue their playoff run.
