The Edmonton Oilers have eliminated the Vancouver Canucks. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Oilers.
From the opening puck drop the scales have tipped massively in favor of the Oilers. They have been the hungrier team - and head and shoulders above the Canucks in nearly every aspect of the game. Despite the late game push from the Canucks, the Oilers remained victorious.

The Canucks opened their season embarrassing the Oilers. An 8-1 blowout was the first of many blows the Oilers suffered during the beginning of their season - that eventually led to the firing of Jay Woodcroft and the hiring of Kris Knoblauch.
From that 3-9-1 start on to the end of the regular season - the Oilers were the best team in the NHL. They carried that energy over to the post season and dispatched the Los Angeles Kings in five games before taking on the Canucks in round two.

The Dallas Stars present a challenge that the Oilers have not had yet this off season. The Kings and Canucks were great teams - but they weren't as great as the Stars.
The Stars have young offensive stars, a phenomenal goalie and they are remarkably well-coached. It will be the toughest challenge that the Oilers have faced this far.
