After crumbling to the Dallas Stars in the second period of Game three, the Edmonton Oilers rebounded in a huge way for Game four. They didn't start the way they wanted - but once they put their foot on the gas they didn't let up for any passengers.
The Stars got two goals in the first 5:29 of the first period - which took out a lot of the energy that was in Rogers Place. But that energy found it's way back once Ryan McLeod scored his first of the post season. His even strength goal was assisted by Corey Perry and Darnell Nurse.

After the first period the game was tied at 2-2 but the Oilers found themselves at a 12-6 shot advantage.
Momentum had swung their way.
That would continue until they were forced to go on the penalty kill. Only three penalties were called the entire game - and the Oilers had a huge moment in store during their first penalty kill.

Connor Brown found himself with a Mattias Janmark on a short-handed two-on-one. Brown shoveled it over to Janmark who made no mistake getting it past Jake Oettinger. Janmark's goal would serve as the game winner.
More importantly, the Oilers' penalty kill reached an incredible milestone.
It set a franchise record by allowing zero power play goals against in eight straight playoff games. Further to that point, the Oilers have the best penalty kill in the playoffs by an Alberta country mile. They have a 93.2% kill rate in the post season - with the Florida Panthers coming in second with an 87.2% kill rate. The Stars have a 75% kill rate.

The next game in the series is tomorrow night in Dallas - which presents an opportunity for the Oilers to put a stranglehold on this series before coming back to Edmonton.
