Edmonton Oilers recalled a defenseman from the Bakersfield Condors.

EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers have two games left to play.

Tomorrow night they play the Arizona Coyotes, followed by the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday. And then the real fun begins.
In order for the team to better prepare for the playoffs, they have made a couple recalls. Last week they recalled forward Dylan Holloway.

He made an immediate impact by scoring in his first game back up with the Oilers. Now another youngster will be given an opportunity.

Philip Broberg has now been recalled. In his last eight games with the Bakersfield Condors he has recorded 12 points. In his last game with the team he scored the game-winning goal, which was an end-to-end tally in overtime.
In 48 games he's collected 35 points. He's been focusing on his two-way play down in the AHL, and has been praised for how well he's been performing.

My sense is that he'll play at least one of the two games that is remaining on the Oilers schedule. It will be interesting to see who comes out for him to get the opportunity - and how he will be deployed once that opportunity comes.
