The Edmonton Oilers could face the Vancouver Canucks or the Nashville Predators.

EDMONTON -- With the Edmonton Oilers first round series done - their focus switches gears.

Now that the Los Angeles Kings have been dispatched, the team can focus on rest and preparation. Which all starts with a day off tomorrow.
After tomorrow comes Friday - the big day. That night the Nashville Predators and Vancouver Canucks play in Game six of their series. The Predators will look to stay alive, while the Canucks aim to slam the door on the Predators hopes for a game seven.

With whoever wins on Friday night - they will be an interesting challenge for the Oilers one way or the other.
If the Predators come from behind to win the series - that would be tremendous in and of itself. If they face the Oilers, it would be an entertaining affair.

For starters - the Oilers have never played the Predators in the playoffs. Ever. In the regular season Leon Draisaitl feasts on the Predators - 42 points in 26 games. With that in mind, the prospect of the Oilers playing the Predators is juicy.
Equally juicy however, is the idea of the Oilers kicking back at the team that embarrassed them at the beginning of the regular season.
Either outcome matters very little to the Oilers at this point - the only outcome that does is that very shiny trophy at the end of this journey.
