EDMONTON -- Playoff hockey is full of surprises.

For the Edmonton Oilers, their first surprise happened in Game one. At one point having a 4-1 lead, they gave the Vancouver Canucks an inch - which they broke into a mile. This resulted in a 5-4 regulation loss for the Oilers by the time it was all said and done.
One of the bright spots from Game one was the play of Zach Hyman. He opened the series with two goals - both from places where he has earned his keep all regular (and post) season long.

Hyman also felt motivated to give a particular TNT analyst a gift - and some of that was broadcasted live during Game one. Hyman sent Shaquille O'Neal a signed Hyman jersey.
He also sent him a bonus item - which you can spot in this video that the Oilers posted.
Hyman and the Oilers made Shaq a custom sized stick. The size of a player's stick is imperative to how they perform on the ice - and because his 7-foot-1 height is much taller than your typical NHLer, his stick had to specially crafted.
This was a very cool gesture on behalf of the organization, and Hyman.
