Filip Zadina has found his new home, and it is not with the Edmonton Oilers.
When it was announced that the Detroit Red Wings were terminating Filip Zadina's contract, the Edmonton Oilers stood out as a possible landing spot due to his past connection with GM Ken Holland. Given the Oilers' cap situation and remaining restricted free agents (RFA), they were not in a position to pay Zadina that much. Still, it would have been intriguing to see them take a chance on the 2018 sixth-overall pick.

Zadina should be in a good position to succeed with the Sharks. Their forward depth is not particularly strong, and it should lead Zadina to receive notable minutes.
