( < 50% rostered on Yahoo, ranked by matchup)

Samuel Montembeault, MTL vs. ARI (22% rostered)

I like the Habs' chances of ending their five-game losing streak against the Coyotes, who have been one of the worst teams in 2024. Top forward Clayton Keller is not expected to play after getting injured on Saturday, which takes a big bite out of the Coyotes offense. Montembeault hasn't been sharp, with 13 goals allowed in his past three appearances, but he's also been far better at home (.920 SP, 2.77 GAA) than on the road (.872 SP, 3.84 GAA) this season.

Nico Daws, NJ vs. SJ (18% rostered)

Surely, this is the matchup that helps Daws get back on track? Timo Meier returns to San Jose for the first time since getting traded, and the Sharks are a wounded animal like no other; Tomas Hertl and Logan Couture are both out with injuries and only two players in their current lineup (Fabian Zetterlund, Anthony Duclair) have scored at least 10 goals. It would be a very disappointing result if the Devils lost against arguably the league's worst team. Daws has been shaky but this is a start where he shouldn't and can't lose, otherwise it may really force the Devils to go out and acquire a goalie.

(NEW) Laurent Brossoit, WPG vs. STL (15% rostered)

It'll be the battle of the backups between Brossoit and Joel Hofer. Brossoit has been excellent at home with a 6-1-0 record and the Blues have lost a little steam following their five-game winning streak with five losses in nine game since. Brossoit should be able to post a good save percentage, as he has done for most of the season, and earn the win.

(NEW) Joel Hofer, STL at WPG (7% rostered)

Hofer will make his second straight appearance after Jordan Binnington was pulled against the WIngs in their previous game. It's a back-to-back for the Blues and this gives Hofer a chance to shine in front of his hometown crowd. The drawback is the matchup; the Jets are a strong club, especially at home with 20 wins, second-best in the West. The edge definitely goes to the Jets, but certainly Hofer has the ability to put up a good save percentage.

Charlie Lindgren, WSH at DET (34% rostered)

The Caps are playing the second half of a back-to-back while the Wings are red-hot with five straight wins. The only chance the Caps have of winning is to score a bunch of goals, which they've done with regularity lately; they've scored at least four goals in four of their past five games. My concern is that this ends up being another high-scoring game, so if Lindgren gets tagged with the loss, you can't take solace in his save percentage.
