Scott Wedgewood, DAL at FLA (4% rostered)

With a back-to-back coming up and Jake Oettinger splitting a home-and-home series against the Lightning, Wedgewood may get the call just to give Oettinger some rest. As far as backups go, Wedgewood’s one of the best streaming options whenever he plays. The drawback is the Panthers are a good team; even if they’ve been inconsistent, they have the potential to score a lot of goals. Wedgewood’s worth a gamble if you need a start but a win would be a coin-flip.

Pyotr Kochetkov, CAR at EDM (43% rostered)

The Canes rotation is a bit of a mess though Kochetkov has started five of their past eight games. He’s a frustrating goalie despite his immense potential because he’s so maddeningly inconsistent. It is true, however, that the Canes are a very good team and very good at limiting shots. That’s good for Kochetkov’s prospects of getting a win, but facing fewer shots means each goal he allows can significantly impact his save percentage. Against the Oilers and with Connor McDavid taking his game to the next level, there’s little value to be had in starting Kochetkov unless you really want the win, though he remains a very intriguing stash.
