Dmitri Voronkov and Yegor Chinakhov of the Columbus Blue Jackets are two sneaky options for Sunday's two-game slate.
Brayden Schenn, C/LW, STL vs. LA (48% rostered)
Schenn's two assists against the Kraken extended his points streak to five games and the Kings are very vulnerable right now with poor goaltending and even poorer defensive efforts.
Boone Jenner, C/LW, CLB at SEA (47% rostered)
The scoring's not there yet, and it may come, but if you're short on shots, faceoffs and hits, Jenner's a great option. When he's scoring, he's fantastic in banger leagues.
Oliver Bjorkstrand, RW, SEA vs. CLB (46% rostered)
There aren't many options for offense for Sunday's slate, but I reckon Bjorkstrand will end up being one of the biggest high-volume shooters. The speedy winger is coming off a two-point effort against the Blues playing L1 and the power play. He's scored five points in three games against his former team in his career.
Quinton Byfield, C/LW, LA at STL (45% rostered)
Byfield was a late scratch Friday against the Avs due to illness but he's expected to play against the Blues. The Kings clearly missed some of the offense Byfield brings to the table, and he'll get a chance to extend his points streak to four games.
The Kings are moving Byfield up and down the lineup, partially as a result of trying to get Pierre-Luc Dubois going, but generally speaking, Byfield ends up with top-six minutes with plenty of shots on net.
Dmitri Voronkov (10) and Yegor Chinakhov (59)Dmitri Voronkov, LW, CLB at SEA (3% rostered)
I'm intrigued by the Jackets' big Russian center (despite being listed as a left wing) who's on a bit of a hot streak right now with four goals in his past five games. He tends to score in bunches, and while I lament the breaking up of their all-Russian line with Voronkov, Kirill Marchenko and Yegor Chinakhov, adding the nifty Kent Johnson isn't a bad consolation prize.
The Kraken don't have the kind of size down the middle to defend against Voronkov, and the added bonus is that Voronkov plays PP1. I think he can cause matchup problems for the Kraken.
Yegor Chinakhov, RW, CLB at SEA (3% rostered)
Playing on the top line with Johnny Gaudreau, Chinakhov has been excellent lately with five points in his past five games while averaging close to 18 minutes per game. It's a bit of a bummer Chinakhov plays PP2, but it's not a big loss considering the Jackets' 26th-ranked PP and they do the bulk of their scoring at even strength.
