Players to target for Wednesday's three-game slate includes J.T. Compher, who's filling in for Dylan Larkin on the top line for the Red Wings.
J.T. Compher, LW/RW, DET at NYR (28% rostered)
With Dylan Larkin day-to-day and expected to miss Wednesday and possibly Thursday's game, Compher has taken over his spot on L1 and PP1. As their most reliable center right now (even though he's not C eligible — go figure), Compher will get the pleasure of playing with Alex DeBrincat on the top line and DeBrincat and Lucas Raymond on PP1, though it remains to be seen when Patrick Kane will make his Red Wings debut.
Patrik Laine, C/LW/RW, CLB at MTL (50% rostered)
Laine not being rostered in half of Yahoo fantasy leagues means he's also at the top of the scrap heap. This is a favorable matchup for the Jackets even though they're facing the Habs' best goalie in Sam Montembeault, and Laine's back on the wing playing on a high-upside line with top rookie Adam Fantilli and Dmitri Voronkov, whose on-ice production is masking any signs of homesickness. Laine has been particularly effective against the Habs in his career, scoring eight goals and 12 points in 10 games.
Quinton Byfield, C/LW, LA vs. WSH (36% rostered)
Byfield's a great streaming option with L1 and PP1 minutes and definitely has season-long value. The Caps can be a really tough team defensively but there should be no such worries for the Kings, who have a much deeper lineup. Byfield is shooting the puck more but no one will mistake him for a goalscorer, and his biggest fantasy contribution will be with assists, of which he has 12 in 19 games.
