(NEW) Laurent Brossoit, WPG at SJ (9% rostered)

I wouldn't take the Sharks lightly and Kyle Connor will not be in the lineup due to a knee injury. However, the Jets should have a clear advantage in this matchup. The Sharks have not won in regulation since Dec. 1 and the Jets have won four straight and boast one of the strongest records on the road this season at 8-3-1.

Alex Lyon, DET at STL (45% rostered)

Lyon gets a chance at redemption after seeing his four-game winning streak snapped against the Blues. He allowed four goals on just 25 shots, and you have to wonder if he still has the hot hand. The Wings are playing the second half of a back-to-back while severely shorthanded without the injured Dylan Larkin and J.T. Compher, and also the suspended David Perron. While the Blues have lost four straight, I suspect it will be a tough matchup for the Wings, though they should still be favored.

(NEW) Samuel Ersson, PHI at NSH (5% rostered)

Carter Hart will get a break after winning three straight games and Ersson gets a chance to extend his winning streak to five games. The Flyers are rolling with four straight wins thanks to some good goaltending and a good ol' fashioned work ethic. Though the Preds are also playing well with four wins in five games, their offense has dried up a little bit in the past two games with only two goals scored. This could be a close matchup but I like the Flyers just slightly more given how well Ersson's played.

Pyotr Kochetkov, CAR at OTT (37% rostered)

Frankly, any Canes goalie scares me right now. The Sens are on a bit of a roll with three wins in their past four, and you’re banking on the Canes to bounce back after four straight losses, most recently to the Canucks that necessitated a players’-only meeting – how confident can you really be? Given how effective the Sens’ offense can be, I’d be cautiously optimistic with this matchup.

Martin JonesMartin Jones

Martin Jones, TOR at NYR (14% rostered)

Playing the second half of a back-to-back and drawing the tougher matchup? Yikes. To Jones’ credit, he allowed just one goal on 10 shots in a relief appearance against the Sens to earn his first win of the season. But this is just a terrifying matchup against one of the best teams in the league, and the Rangers are coming off a huge statement win against the Kings.

Dustin Wolf, CGY at VEG (11% rostered)

The Knights will be the Flames’ second game in as many nights, and it’s a tough one after facing the Avs on Monday. Wolf has at least kept the Flames in games, but he hasn’t played well enough to steal them or snatch the starting job away from the injured Jacob Markstrom or Dan Vladar. With the Knights on a 5-0-1 roll and 10-2-2 at home, and the Flames losing three of their past four and 5-7-2 on the road, I’d shy away from this matchup.

Mackenzie Blackwood, SJ vs. WPG (12% rostered)

Blackwood was a viable streaming option when he was stopping a ton of shots, but that hasn’t been the case with 10 goals allowed and just 46 saves. The Jets have won four in a row with only six goals allowed, and you have to think that, at some point, the Sharks’ offense is going to dry up. This will be Blackwood’s first start in four games, ceding time to Kaapo Kahkonen. A win is unlikely; at best, you’re looking at a lot of saves and a decent save percentage.

Joey Daccord, SEA vs. FLA (5% rostered)

The Kraken are on an eight-game slide and it’s not because their goaltending has been particularly bad; their offense just can’t provide any goal support. Daccord has only allowed two goals in each of his past three appearances, including a relief appearance against the Lightning after Philipp Grubauer was injured. The Panthers, meanwhile, are 5-1-1 with a healthy lineup; literally, they don’t have a single player on IR or even day-to-day, which is a minor miracle at this point of the season. We keep waiting for Daccord to take over the net based on his play, but so far it’s been by necessity. It’s unlikely he’ll win or even post good-enough peripheral stats to make him a worthwhile streamer.

Petr Mrazek, CHI at EDM (22% rostered)

Mrazek’s been excellent in his past two games with only one goal allowed and a sparkling .987 SP. However, this is the Oilers we’re talking about here, with their seven-game winning streak and Connor McDavid once again striking fear into the hearts of opposing defenses. You’re really hoping for a half-decent save percentage from Mrazek; anything more than that is a huge bonus.
