Samuel Montembeault, MTL at CLB (12% rostered)
It's Montembeault's turn in the rotation and he's arguably the best goalie on the Habs right now with two wins in his past three starts. According to naturalstattrick.com, Montembeault ranks fourth in total GSAA at 5-on-5, trailing only Adin Hill, Ilya Sorokin and Connor Hellebuyck even though he's played far fewer minutes.
Montembeault allowed just seven goal goals during that three-game span, though the Jackets are on a roll as well with three wins in their past four games. With the Jackets' more potent offense and playing on home ice, the advantage should go to the Jackets, albeit slightly. What you're hoping for with Montembeault is for him to keep the goals allowed to a minimum with a high percentage.
Charlie Lindgren, WSH at LA (22% rostered)
Kuemper allowed just two goals in his previous start, though it resulted in a loss to the lowly Sharks. Lindgren, who looked like he might take over the starting job last week, allowed five goals in a loss to the Oilers.
Given their current rotation, Lindgren might get the call to see if he can get the upper hand again in the crease, but this is a tough matchup against a top-three team in the West. Considering how difficult it's been to generate offense for the Caps (ie. no goal support for Lindgren), and the Kings' much deeper lineup, this is an inadvisable stream for Lindgren. However, he retains some fantasy value during the on-going goalie battle and continues to be a stash in 12 or 14-team leagues.
