(ranked by matchup)
Karel Vejmelka, ARI vs. SEA (19% rostered)
This certainly feels like it could be a close game. Connor Ingram allowed five goals on 33 shots (.848 SP) in his previous start, and based on their mini rotation so far, it's Vejmelka's turn. That's a big benefit to the Coyotes considering Vejmelka's strong play recently, allowed 11 goals in his past five starts with a .929 SP.
On home ice and against a potentially tired team, I think there's a good chance of an upset and I think Vejmelka might be worth a dice roll here.
Joey Daccord, SEA at ARI (52% rostered)
The loss to the Sabres wasn't entirely on Daccord, but that was an all-time bad stat line with just one save (!) on four shots, finishing with a .250 SP and 31.67 GAA. The Kraken are playing back to back, and it's unlikely Daccord has such an awful start again.
The Kraken are also 4-3-0 all-time against the Coyotes and allowing an average of 2.9 goals against per game. That's not bad, but if that's the high (low?) watermark, it feels like the upside isn't that high.
Alex Nedeljkovic, PIT at DAL (8% rostered)
Seeing how the Pens are basically out of the playoff race, and with Tristan Jarry losing his previous start but Nedeljkovic winning, maybe it's just time to go with a 50/50 rotation and start Nedeljkovic. It wouldn't make much of a difference in their playoff hopes, anyway, and this also puts Jarry out of harm's way; he's their starter at least until 2028, so why waste his play on meaningless games.
This game feels like it could be close. The Pens have won four of their past five meetings with the loser never scoring more than two goals. If Nedeljkovic does start, he could be a sneaky value play.
Editor's note: Jarry will start. I still think this game would be close and I have more confidence in Jarry than Nedeljkovic.
Charlie Lindgren, WSH vs. CAR (51% rostered)
The 7-3 loss was ugly but I think Lindgren stays in net because he had been excellent up to that point. But this is another tough matchup against the Canes, who are a tier above the Leafs. This start warrants a lot of caution, and if you want to be conservative, this isn't the streamer you want.
Editor's note: Darcy Kuemper gets the start with the Caps electing to give Lindgren some rest. I'm even less confident in Kuemper than I am in Lindgren.
